If a bride feels her best in her wedding dress, she is sure to glow with confidence on her special day. Here are some guidelines to help any bride find the perfect wedding dress for her body shape.
Pear-shaped – If you are pear shapes you should look at a dress that flares out from your natural waist, which will highlight your midsection. Look at fabrics that don’t cling and one that is sturdier like satin or taffeta. If you have slender arms, you could also choose a spaghetti-strap bodice or a V-neckline.
If you’re busty – For those who are blessed with cleavage, look at a dipped neckline which is off the shoulder. Choosing a fabric with a sheen like organza, satin or silk that will also call more attention to your chest.
Plus-sized – An empire dress is best for plus-sized brides as it provides shape and structure. Consider an A-line design that is floor length. Make sure the design has no pleats and takes the form of your figure. Avoid thin flowy fabrics and opt for a fabric like satin which is stiffer.
Apple-shaped – Apple shaped figures need to accentuate the smallest part of their waist and therefore should opt for a design that cinches at the smallest part of your waistline. A corset design is a good option as it will slenderize and add length to your frame.
If you’re tall – Tall brides should opt for dresses that follow their natural shape but with a lower waistline that will balance your proportions.
